The Maya of the Riviera is one of the most magical places on Earth. It stretches along the shores of the Yucatan Peninsula and offers the best sandy beaches, so fine that it looks like flour between your toes. Caribbean sunrises provide scenic and breathtaking experiences for everyone.
Thanks to the wide variety of activities, millions of all interesting places and attractions, each holiday is a unique experience. From the ruins of Tulumi to the plunge into the Great Mayan Reef, everyone has something to enjoy; adventure seekers and golfers alike!
Below are the 5 most important sights and things to do in Riviera Maya (not in a separate order, each one is amazing):
1. The ruins of Tulum
The city of Tulum is the only known archaeological site by the sea. Tulum Cobá served as one of the main ports in the great Mayan city. There are more than 60 well-preserved buildings here, including the Church of the Frescoes, a small sanctuary that marks a breakthrough in the dam and Castillo. It is truly a remarkable place full of history. I can not miss it!
The Riviera Maya is home to many championship-style golf courses. Puerto Aventuras is clearly one step above the rest, with a 36-hole golf course. This unique course was designed by Thomas Lehman. With a meeting of lush tropical foliage as well as iguanas, deer and various tropical birds, this is truly the golden path of a jungle. Enjoy!
3. The Jungle Maya Expedition
Get ready for a real adventure! The Alltournative Jungle Maya expedition begins with an SUV that leads to the Nohoch Nah Chich Cenote system. Here, snorkeling into deep caves explores stalagmite and stalactite formations. After a few dives, you go back to the Unimog (4X4) and cross into the jungle where you can see various plant, animal and animal prints! The road leads to the Yax Mule, which hides in the most amazing natural swimming pool in the Mexican Caribbean. When you return to Rancho San Felipe, a traditional Mayan lunch awaits you.
4. Swim with the dolphins
The Delphinus Riviera Maya is the best area for swimming with dolphins. Located just 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, it is a very convenient place for most travelers. The dolphinarium is protected by an extraordinary natural formation that extends to Ana Claudia. Dolphins cover an area of 108,000 feet. The Delphinus Riviera includes several programs, including Primax Swim – swimming with dolphins and spending time with them in the water, Dolphin Ride – Dolphin ride and interaction activities. , The One – Spend an hour at a time with the dolphins and the trainer for one hour and with the Dolphin Trainer for a day – an 8-hour time with the trainer learning the care, training, scientific research, veterinary program and breeding program of the dolphins.
Experience Mayan cuisine at Yaxché. The dishes are mainly based on vegetable and seafood. Shrimp blankets are one of the most preferred appetizers and for reasons of taste! Some other culinary delights include Xtoloc – Pancakes with Cheese Sprinkled with Paprika and Kinitch Chicken – Delicious, Marinated and Grilled Chicken. Yummy!
